About Me: Chicago Elopement & Intimate Wedding Photographer
Hi, I’m Ryan (they/them), Fine-Art image-maker turned Elopement & Intimate Wedding Photographer.
I studied fine art photography at Columbia College Chicago, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree. My personal work has taken me throughout the diverse neighborhoods of Chicago, across the Midwest, and to Ireland, Guatemala, the Pacific Northwest, and the Gulf Coast of Mississippi in the weeks following Hurricane Katrina. My work is in the permanent collection at the C-Spaces Gallery at Columbia College Chicago and in the Columbia College Photography Department.
Upon finishing my formal education, I trained under two of Chicago’s best wedding photojournalists for nearly 10 years. I worked my way up to the position of Senior Associate photographer, photographing high-end weddings and events around Chicagoland before branching out on my own.
As an Elopement & Intimate Wedding Photographer, I approach marriage events & couples’ portrait sessions with an editorial style informed by my fine-art background, with a unique eye for colour and texture, architecture and space; to tell your love story through artful and timeless editorial imagery. While documenting every meaningful moment as your wedding day unfolds, and preserving the memories that last a lifetime.
